Fundraising for the arts, by Francesca Pecoraro, Alex Turrini, and Mark Volpe:

This month, Università Bocconi (Milan, Italy) published Fundraising for the Arts, a book written by Francesca Pecoraro (performing arts manager), Alex Turrini (associate Professor in public and non-profit management and Director of the MSc in Arts and Cultural management at Bocconi University), and Mark Volpe (President and Chief Executive Officer of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, from 1997 to 2021).

FEDORA’s Director, Edilia Gänz, had the honour to be invited by the authors to contribute to the chapter: “Capital Campaigns for the Arts”. This was the occasion to discuss how fundraising became a competitive profession that now contributes to secure and to improve the future of cultural organisations.
